Shelly Borota started her career in the fall of 2008. The housing bubble was bursting. Why would anyone get into real estate then?? A passion for helping people! One of the best ways is to help people achieve the dream of home ownership. Shelly loves to work with first time home buyers as it allows her to educate them on the ever-changing landscape of real estate. Then to watch as those buyers grow and their needs change as do their home ownership needs.
The transition to real estate was an easy one. Shelly’s prior experience in marketing, management and retail have all helped form her strong work ethic. Growing up in small town DeWitt, she’s also been instilled with small-town values of honesty and integrity.
Shelly lives in DeWitt with her husband, Brian, and their 4-legged child, Ember, a middle-aged black lab. Brian & Shelly have an ever-growing family with 4 grown children, Billy, Ashley (son-in-law, Darin), Maggie, Robert and one Grandbaby, Jenna. Shelly enjoys weightlifting, swimming & boating in her spare time and relishes her many opportunities to volunteer in the community.
